One of the most detoxifying herbs. Removes wastes from the liver & gallbladder, stimulates kidneys to remove toxins via urine. Research suggests anti-tumor action. Benefits skin probs - acne, eczema, psoriasis
Rich in potassium & calcium.
Used to 'clear heat' in Chinese medicine
Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) 50g $10
One of the most detoxifying herbs in both western & Chinese herbal medicine . Cleanses the body of waste products & toxins. Excellent at removing heavy metals from system. Has an anti-tumor action . Try for chronic skin conditions, arthritic conditions.
Mix with dandelion root to balance its strong cleansing action.
St Mary's Thistle (Silybum marianum) 100g $15
Protects & renews the liver . Contains substances which prevent usually toxic compounds damaging the liver. Used for hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver tumors, jaundice . Helps limit damage from alcohol, chemotherapy, infection . Stimulates bile secretion - reduces indigestion . Increases lactation. Depression associated with the liver.
Eat 1-2 tablespoons a day.
